INTRODUCING OUR PATRONS

JOANNE CLIFTON

JENNA RUSSELL

JOANNE CLIFTON is a world-renowned actress and dancer. 


She joined BBC's 'Strictly Come Dancing' as a professional dancer in 2014 and went on to win the famous Glitterball Trophy in 2016 with Ore Oduba having previously been crowned the World Champion in Ballroom Showdance in 2012.


Her extensive Musical Theatre Credits as a leading lady include: Janet in the Rocky Horror Show (UK Tour), Alex Owens in Flashdance the Musical (UK Tour) and Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie (UK Tour). 


She received her training in Ballroom & Latin-American at Team Diablo Academy in Bologna, Italy and in Musical Theatre and Screen Acting at the New York Film Academy.


Each academic year, one talented student will be the recipient of our 'Joanne Clifton Scholarship' to contribute toward their tuition fees. In addition to this Joanne will be joining us for Masterclasses from time to time.

JENNA RUSSELL is an Olivier Award-Winning and Tony-Nominated actress and singer.


Her inspirational stage career in the West End and on Broadway includes roles such as Dot in ‘Sunday in the Park with George’ (Tony Nomination, Winner of the Olivier-Award for Best Actress in a Musical), Sarah Brown in ‘Guys and Dolls’ (Olivier Award Nomination, Piccadilly Theatre, West End), The Bakers Wife in ‘Into the Woods’ (Regents Park Open Air Theatre), Cinderella in ‘Into The Woods’ ( Donmar Warehouse), Helen in ‘Fun Home’ (Young Vic), Mary in ‘Merry We Roll Along’ (Olivier Award Nomination, Harold Pinter Theatre, West End), Mephistopheles in ‘Dr Faustus (Duke Of York’s Theatre, West End), Penelope Pennywise in ‘Urinetown’ (Apollo Theatre, West End), and has played leading roles at The Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal National Theatre and Almeida Theatre.


She’s also had a vast and varied career in television to phenomenal acclaim with leading roles including playing Deborah Gilder in ‘Born And Bred’ (4 series) Maggie Lomax in ‘On the Up’ (3 series) Petra in ‘Minder’ (1 series) and most recently as Michelle Fowler in BBC One Soap-Opera ‘Eastenders’. She has also played guest leads on ‘Dr Who’ ‘Midsomer Murders’ ‘The Paradise’ ‘Gentlemen Jack’ ‘Call The Midwife’ to name a few.
