RECEPTIONIST ROLE


Pay: £13.50 per hour (self-employed, freelance)

 

Job Description:

 

Overview 
We are seeking a professional and organised receptionist to join our team. This role involves managing front desk operations, providing excellent customer service, and supporting administrative functions within our organisation. This role will involve opening the studio at 8am and working 8 - 11/ 12. The ideal candidate will be friendly, efficient, and proficient in various office software. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop organisational and communication skills in a dynamic environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and clients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Answer incoming calls and emails promptly and with proper etiquette across the college and Associate school.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate meetings.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and postal mail
  • Maintain accurate data entry records using Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Google Workspace.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and document preparation, attendance log .
  • Support the team with general clerical duties to ensure smooth office operations
  • Manage reception area to ensure it remains tidy and welcoming


Requirements

  • Proven office experience or administrative background
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Good typing speed and accuracy for data entry tasks
  • Demonstrated phone etiquette and strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
  • Previous clerical experience is preferred but not essential; a proactive attitude is important
  • time efficient and management is important to ensure the college opens on time.
  • Must be able to provide references
